NANOWRIMO Event - Microfiction 100 word story

The ticket agent was the seat keeper, the computer gatekeeper.

Behind me a woman stands with a crying baby, we are currently seated together for this 4 hour flight.

“What can I DO for YOU?”

“I’m looking for an upgrade for this flight?”

He starts typing.

What is he typing? Why is he typing so much?

He starts clicking the mouse, lots of clicking.

He says, “Looks like you are in luck.”

Angels start singing, the baby smiles before crying again.

Once on board, I realize he’s upgraded the wrong flight.

I hear a wail as they board the plane.
